AnimeSnap Privacy Policy

1. Overview

AnimeSnap is a photo transformation app that lets users create anime-inspired and cinematic fantasy artwork from their photos. We aim to collect only the information needed to operate, improve, and support the app.

By using AnimeSnap, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

AnimeSnap may collect or process the following categories of information:

• Photos selected by you for image conversion.
• Generated images and videos created by the app.
• Account identifiers from Firebase Authentication, including anonymous user identifiers.
• Purchase and credit status related to in-app purchases.
• App usage events, such as screen views, conversion starts, archive actions, and errors.
• Device and diagnostic information used for analytics, stability, and troubleshooting.

3. Photos and Generated Content

When you choose a photo, AnimeSnap uploads it temporarily so the requested transformation can be processed. Uploaded original photos are deleted from cloud storage after processing is completed.

Generated results may be stored in the local AnimeSnap Archive on your device. You can delete archive items from within the app. Photos or videos that you manually save to the iOS Photos app remain in Photos unless you delete them there.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide photo transformation and before/after export features.
• Manage credits, purchases, and restore purchase status.
• Maintain your local archive and app settings.
• Send notifications for completed background video exports, if notifications are enabled.
• Understand app usage and improve features through analytics.
• Detect errors, improve reliability, and provide support.

5. Third-Party Services

AnimeSnap uses third-party services to operate core app features, including:

• Firebase Authentication for account/session management.
• Firebase Firestore, Storage, Functions, Remote Config, Analytics, and Messaging.
• Apple In-App Purchase for credit pack purchases.
• AI image generation providers selected by app configuration.

These services may process information according to their own privacy policies and security practices.

6. Analytics

We use analytics to understand how people use AnimeSnap, such as which screens are opened, which features are used, and whether important flows complete successfully. Analytics helps us improve the app experience and diagnose issues.

Analytics events are not intended to include the content of your photos.

7. Purchases and Credits

Purchases are processed by Apple. AnimeSnap stores credit balance and purchase-related status needed to unlock paid credit packs and restore purchases. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

8. Data Retention

Uploaded original photos are deleted from cloud storage after processing completes. Local archive items remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Some operational records, analytics, and diagnostics may be retained as needed for app functionality, security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

9. Your Choices

• You can choose which photos to upload for conversion.
• You can delete generated items from the AnimeSnap Archive.
• You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
• You can manage photo library permissions in iOS Settings.
• You can contact support for privacy questions or deletion requests.

10. Children’s Privacy

AnimeSnap is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. AI service API keys are not embedded in the iOS app and are handled through server-side infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

12. International Users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on the locations of our service providers and infrastructure.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
